Copyright & Intellectual Property

All artworks, images, designs, and written content on this website are the exclusive property of Joseph Townend and are protected under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and international copyright laws.

Purchasing an artwork—whether original or reproduced—grants you ownership of the physical object only, not the copyright. You may not reproduce, modify, resell, or use any image or artwork for commercial or promotional purposes without prior written consent.

If you are interested in licensing artwork for commercial use (e.g. merchandise, editorial, branding), please get in touch via [email/contact link] for licensing agreements.

Commissions

Commissions are available on a case-by-case basis. When you commission a piece:

  • A non-refundable deposit (typically 30–50%) is required to confirm the booking.

  • The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery.

  • You will be presented with one or more progress updates to approve the work.

  • Minor revisions may be requested; extensive changes may incur additional fees.

Copyright remains with the artist unless otherwise agreed in writing. Commissioned work may be shared publicly (e.g. on social media or in portfolio) unless you request otherwise in advance.
Commissions are for personal use only, unless commercial usage rights are explicitly granted in writing.

Product Information

All artworks are described as accurately as possible, but please note that colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings. Due to the handmade nature of original pieces and prints, some variations or imperfections are to be expected and are not considered faults.

Payment & Shipping

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and may include VAT, where applicable.

Payments are processed securely via Square.

Orders are typically dispatched within 2-4 business days. Delivery times vary depending on your location and chosen shipping method.
Once dispatched, I cannot be held responsible for delays caused by postal services, customs, or courier issues.

If you are ordering from outside the UK, please be aware that you are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes.

Returns & Cancellations

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel and return non-custom items within 14 days of receipt, provided they are returned in their original condition.

However, please note:

  • Commissions and customised/personalised artworks and originals are non-refundable unless damaged or faulty.

  • If your order arrives damaged, please contact me within 7 days of receipt with clear photos of the item and packaging.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days once the item has been returned and inspected.
